My name is Jeremiah Hoyet, I’m 19 years old. I’m currently attending a local community college for a degree in information technology. I have a very strong interest in computers, social media, and web development. Through continuing education, both formal and informal, I aspire to master my areas of interest.
About This Blog
I’ve started many blogs in the past few years, most of which I didn’t put much thought or time into before I placed them on the web. I also have a horrible habit of experiencing what I like to call topic-ADD, I just can’t seem to focus on one area of blogging. This is what lead me to start focusing more on my personal blog, this blog you’re currently reading. This blog isn’t geared towards one topic or genre, but geared towards expressing my thoughts, views, and insight into whatever I seem fit for the day.
My Background in Social Media
In October of 2005, I was introduced to social media for the first time by a friend in my Computer Networking class. He introduced me to Digg.com, and ever since I have been hooked on the social web as a whole.
In August of 2006, I took my interest in Social Media to the next level by joining the team at Netscape.com (now Propeller.com) as a Navigator (now titled “Scout”). For the past two years I have had the wonderful opportunity of working with some great people from all walks of the web.
